  Vigorexia is muscle dysmorphia, a disorder characterized by obsessive concern about one's physique and a distorted body image. This term is not recognized by the Royal Spanish Academy (RAE), but is commonly used.

DEFINITION OF VIGOR: We can establish the etymological origin of the term vigor, which concerns us now, in Latin. Specifically, it emanates from the sum of two clearly defined parts: the verb vigere, which can be translated as "to be fully alive," and the suffix -or, which is equivalent to "result."
